RN/LPN NCLEX REVIEW & REMEDIAL

The RN/LPN NCLEX Review & Remedial Program is an intense lecture review delivered in 8 weeks that contains Eight Modules covered in the areas tested by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) on the NCLEX. The lectures take place in a classroom setting and includes PowerPoint presentations and case studies scenarios. The objective is to strengthen application knowledge and increase the probability of passing the NCLEX.

Remedial students are required by The Florida Board of Nursing to complete 80 hours of classroom lecture and 96 hours of clinicals.

The classroom lecture goes on at a continuous pace allowing you to jump in to the module the class is currently but still continue all the way through until you've completed all modules.

Meet your professor

The Program Director/Instructor is Dr. Henry Olivera. With over 28 years of experience, Dr. Olivera has helped a multitude of nurses pass their NCLEX. He is the founder and Dean of South Florida College of Nursing, a nursing college offering an Associates and Bachelors degree in nursing that has had multiple successful graduating classes.

Remedial course

Remedial Course Info

Individuals that have been unsuccessful at passing the NCLEX three times are required by the Florida Board of Nursing to complete 80 hours of lecture and 96 clinical hours. After successful completion of this remedial course (both lecture and clinical), the student will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX, allowing three more attempts. Clinical hours are held on weekends at local hospitals and the students have an opportunity for direct hands on care. The clinical experience allows the student to implement the nursing practice, with the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

How The Remedial Course Works

The Classroom Lecture (the required 80 hours) goes on at a continuous pace. In other words, you jump in to whichever module the class is currently at but will not end until you’ve completed all modules.

The Clinical portion (The required 96 hours) rotates in a clinical setting at our affiliated facilities. Clinical schedules will be announced on the first day of class along with the clinical requirements. Also, you will be provided with a Clinical Orientation that will cover all the necessary info needed to start and complete the 96 hours of clinicals. NOTE: The majority of clinical hours will be conducted during the weekend.

Review Course Info

If you are not required by the Florida Board of Nursing to complete a Remedial Course, you may be interested in our Review Course. The Review Course grants the same benefits as the Remedial Course but does not include the clinical hours.

How the Review Course Works

Similar to the Remedial Course, the classroom Lecture goes on at a continuous pace. Again, this allows you to jump in to the module the class is currently but still continue all the way through until you’ve completed all modules.

For instance, if the class is currently in Module 5, you will start in module 5 until you reach 8 and then complete 1 through 4.
